Groovy Ski is a free arcade game that gives you the reigns to a ski player, who is out to ski down a snowy mountain. You can slide down the slope at full speed in this fun browser game. However, to give you a challenge, the slope comes with fences that you need to dodge. More than that, there will also be obstacles that will try to hinder you from getting a high score. The goal of the game is to beat the highest score by staying on the course for as long as possible—not an easy feat since the course is very narrow and full of sharp turns.
Slide down the slippery slope
To set things clearly, Groovy Ski does not offer intense gameplay like other sports games that features skiing. In fact, it is a one-button game that needs only mouse clicks to control the character. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You only need to direct the ski player down the path using the left-click of your mouse. The ski player moves left or right with every click.
However, this doesn't mean that the ski player will move anywhere. There is a narrow, fenced path that you need to pass through in the game. Be careful in maneuvering while inside the path. Bumping into the fence can mean the end of your game. There will be areas in the game that are not fenced, but there will be obstacles—such as trees, rocks, snowmen, and even rolling snowballs—that will block you. There will be stars along the way that you need to collect to gather points. The stars—blue stars—at the beginning of the game yields five points. An additional five points will be added with every change of the stars' colors.
Groovy Ski is a simple but engaging clicker game that is great for players who are looking to pass the time. It does not need installation and can be played anywhere, provided you have an internet connection. However, the controls can be frustrating as the speed accelerates with every click. Also, there is no reward for achieving a high score, aside from topping the leader board.
